This AV-installation is a unique cooperation between Digital Projection Inc., Nuvision 3D, Seventh Sense, Informationsteknik Scandinavia and Grundfos as the customer. An innovative and highly technological 3D cinema to show a unique 3D group-presentation movie in 8.5 minutes - "Inside the flow".
This unique cinema is placed at the Grundfos group's new competence and education centre, Grundfos City in Hungary. There the audience will experience a "rollercoaster trip" through pipe systems and Grundfos pumps. They will see and experience the installations from many different angles.
3D-technology Torben Theilmann, AV responsible at Grundfos has been very engaged in the 3D project. He says ”Mine - and with that Grundfos’ interest for 3D has always been present, but I did not think that the quality was at the level that we could show it to our guests. There were visible blends between the images from the projectors, and the quality of the 3D effects was not good enough. With the new active system and the possibility to manage everything with only one projector - even in full HD quality, it has completely changed and the result is a much better quality”. To see the movie the audience will wear electronic 3D-glasses. The Digital Projection projector, which actively projects in 120 Hz with an image size of 1920 x 1080, shows 120 images per second – but each eye will only receive half of the images as the glasses manage an open and close system based on liquid crystals which are built into the Nuvision glasses and activated from an infrared signal sent from the projector to a sensor in the glasses. The glasses are unique and very userfriendly as you can clean them in a dish washer. Grundfos is the first place in the world to use this active 3D technology.
Match of Values With Grundfos' values BE - THINK – INNOVATE at the back of his mind, Torben Theilmann has worked with the AV solution to the new centre. ”It is probably the first installation in the world with this combination of equipment, update speed, resolution etc. - so the wish of being innovative is fully met” says a very satisfied Torben Theilmann. The Competence Centre in Hungary is now in use, and the feed back Grundfos received at the opening has been very positive, and the guests are very impressed about the look and the quality.
A Training Centre with many Experiences Besides the 3D cinema Grundfos City will arrange training sessions, customer visits and workshops. Informationsteknik has installed audio visual equipment in all training rooms, the employee restaurant, the reception area and the booking area. Next step with 3D Right now Grundfos is working on a three minutes version of the presentation movie. It will represent the international Danish pump company in a 3D cinema for about 70 persons at the World Exhibition EXPO 2008 in Spain in May. Contact sales for more information . . . |
